  • What is a Lama Visa Debit card?

    The Lama Visa Card is a Euro currency-based card; however, you can easily use any available currency (traditional and crypto) within your Lama account to process your card payments, as it will be automatically converted to euros for your payment needs. You can use it to pay wherever you would pay with any other Visa debit card.

     

    Using your Lama Visa card enables you to easily cash out your traditional currencies and cryptocurrencies anywhere and anytime.

  • What are the benefits of having a Lama Visa Card?

    With your Lama Visa Cards you can enjoy the traditional currencies and cryptocurrency world all combined in a single transaction, plus additional benefits such as:

     

    • Spend your crypto in physical stores and online.
    • Choose between 3 different card designs for your physical cards and many more for your virtual ones.
    • Link your Lama Visa Cards to Apple Pay and Google Pay.
    • Enjoy a 1% cashback paid in bitcoin on selected plans when using your Lama Visa Cards.
  • Where can the Lama Visa Card be used?

    As easy as it gets, you simply use your Lama Visa Card as you would use any of your other credit/debit cards. You can pay online and, in any shops, restaurants, where Visa cards are accepted.

  • Can I have multiple cards?

    Yes! You can have multiple cards on our Lama business account, please note that the number of cards may vary per plan. Here is the number of cards per plan for your reference:

    • Lama Classic: Limited to 1 Virtual card, 1 Digital card, 1 physical card for only €9.99.
    • Lama Classic Plus: Limited to 2 Simultaneous Virtual cards, 2 Digital cards and 2 Physical cards.
    • Lama Suri: Limited to 5 Simultaneous Virtual cards, 5 Digital Cards and 5 Physical cards to choose.
    • Lama Vicuna: Limited to 10 Simultaneous Virtual cards, 10 Digital cards and 10 Physical cards of any design.

     

  • What are the differences between a Visa Virtual, Digital and Physical cards?

    Lama offers three types of Visa cards: Physical, Virtual, and Digital. Each type has distinct characteristics and use cases. Here’s a breakdown of their main differences:

     

    • Physical Card: A traditional plastic card with a chip and magnetic stripe, used for in-person and online payments. Security features include a PIN and CVV.
    • Virtual Card: A digital-only card used mainly for online transactions. Though also includes a card number, expiration date, and CVV, which are provided digitally for added security.
    • Digital Card: A card stored in digital wallets (like Apple Pay), used for contactless and online payments. It uses tokenisation and biometric authentication for security.
  • Are there any ATM withdraw limits? (physical)

    Yes, cash withdrawal limits are based on your Lama account plan, see below the available limits:

     

    • Lama Classic: Free up to 100€ per month.
    • Lama Classic Plus: Free up to 200€ per month.
    • Lama Suri: Free up to 500€ per month.
    • Lama Vicuna: Free up to 1 000€ per month.

     

  • Can we upgrade our card spending limits?

    Yes, you can! To upgrade your card spending limits (Lama Classic, Lama Classic Plus and Lama Suri plans) you will be required to upgrade your current plan.

     

    Please note that our Lama Vicuna plan spending limits cannot be upgraded, if you have reached your Lama Vicuna plan monthly limits, you will have to wait until next month for the limits to refresh.

     

  • Does Lama offer the option to customise our card design?

    Currently Lama does not offer the option to customise your physical cards, nevertheless, our virtual cards have a variety range of colours to choose from.

  • Special Edition Cards, are there any available?

    Lama Suri and Lama Vicuna plans have specially designed physical cards for all users subscribed to these plans.

  • What is the main currency of our Lama Visa Cards?

    Your Lama Visa Card’s main currency is in Euros, nevertheless, you can spend any cryptocurrency balance available within your Lama account, as one of your Lama Visa Card benefits is its capacity to automatically exchange any available cryptocurrency in your account to Euros to complete your desired transactions.

     

    Note that any card payment will be taken by default from the highest available balance within your Lama account, and then move to the next highest available balance.

     

  • Are there any Card Spending limits?

    Yes, we have set-up standard limits for the Lama Visa Cards for their daily and monthly expenses.

     

    However, your Lama Visa card is highly customisable when it comes to spending limits within the company predefined limits.

     

    The company spending limits for your cards are:

     

    Lama Classic – €5,000 daily card limit.

    Lama Classic Plus – €15,000 daily card limit.

    Lama Suri – €25,000 daily card limit.

    Lama Vicuna – €50,000 daily card limit.

  • Are there any applicable fees for Lama Visa Cards transactions?

    There are no Lama fees to pay with cards! Nevertheless, if the payment value is only available in any of your crypto accounts, exchange fees will apply to pay with your cards based on your account’s selected plan.

     

    Find below the applicable exchange fees based on the available Lama plans:

     

    Lama Classic – 4% exchange fee.

    Lama Classic Plus – 2.5% exchange fee.

    Lama Suri – 2% exchange fee.

    Lama Vicuna – 1.5% exchange fee.

  • Are we able to link our Lama Visa cards to Apple Pay or Google Pay?

    Our team is currently working hard for you to link your Lama Visa card to your Apple Pay and/or Google Pay wallets.

  • What should we do if we need a payment refund?

    If you encounter an issue with one of your payments and you believe you need a refund, we recommend you contact the store or service provider to which the payment was processed to. If a refund is granted by the store Lama will apply the refund to your Euros account.

     

    Note that all refund transactions are applied to your Euros account, regardless of whether a crypto conversion was involved at the time the payment was made.

  • Why do I need a security question?

    When activating a virtual card or ordering a physical card for the first time, you will have the following security questions to choose from:

     

    • What is the name of your first pet?
    • What is your maternal grandmother’s maiden name?
    • Who was your favourite childhood friend?
    • What was your first car?
    • In which city your parents met?

     

    Note that you can only choose one question plus answer. Your answer must not be using special characters, and it should be between 1 to 45 characters long.

  • What happen if I forget my security question?

    If you have forgotten your Lama Visa card Security question, you can easily find it listed under your Cards > Click on the Gear Icon at the upper right corner > Click over the ‘See Security Question’ option.

     

    Kindly note that for security only your question is displayed in this section, if you do not remember the answer to your selected question, feel free to contact our support team to have your security question reset.

  • Do I receive notification when a transaction is processed?

    Yes, your Lama Business account will send you email notifications when a transaction is attempted, cancelled, or completed. All your card activity will be visible through your  Web-App’s cards window.
